Crystal and Brad got married at the beautiful Painters Lodge in Campbell River. I’ve only been to Campbell River once, and never really got to experience the real beauty of the place! Ā When we first arrived to the hotel, we checked into our room to find that we hadĀ THIS VIEW!! I knew then that it was going to be a good weekend.

The next day we started photos at the the honeymoon suite

Isn’t Crystal so beautiful!

Off to the ceremony!

Group shots! This bridal party was so much fun, they were just there to have a good time, and celebrate!

Now some time for portraits!

Look at that handsome smile!

Time to hit up the reception! The speeches were so funny,.. Speeches are one of my favorite times at a wedding, because I feel like I get to the know the couple even more!

First dance!

The dancing was fantastic.. I may have even bust a move once or twice šŸ˜‰

Thank you Crystal and Brad for a fabulous weekend! Hope you had an amazing time in Mexico on your honeymoon!!

Michelle Smid - Great shots Michelle! What a handsome couple they are – and a beautiful place. I’ve never been to Campbell River, or even considered going, but the scenery may have changed my mind. šŸ™‚

What can I say about this family, they were so full of love and happiness it really warmed my heart! I know that soundsĀ cheesy but its 100% true!Ā  This was one of my all time favorite family shoots, and that is saying a LOTĀ because I’ve worked with some amazing families, and because we were attacked by swarms of mosquitos..the whole time!

I always encourage families to be loving and fun during the shoot, let the kids play, and tickle and laugh.. It really creates the perfect moments to capture. The Sperandeo family did just that… And they may have bribed Jackson with some treats afterwards šŸ˜‰

I love this picture so much.. I just can’t get over how perfect their little smiles are

And just a couple of quick ones of mom and dad! No wonder they have such gorgeous kids, just look at them! Ā

Thank you so much for asking me to capture your loving family. It was such a pleasure!

Brian and I made the trek over to Parksville for Dave and Alishas wedding, we were both so excited to see the island, and have a little weekend get away.. Stupidly, I forgot to book the ferry over to Nanaimo, and we couldn’t get on, so we took the ferry over to Victoria, and drove to Parksville. A bit of a longer trek then we originally had planned, but it was so beautiful!

note to self: book the ferry long in advance if it’s a long weekend.. duh!

Alisha and Dave are a one of a kind couple. Being part of their wedding was so amazing! I think they may be the mostĀ laid back couple I’ve met, it’s like nothing couldĀ phaseĀ them!

Alisha and the girls started their day at theĀ Mi by Kiyo Salon! They did such a fabulous job on hair and makeup.. And they had a cute little puppy hanging out with us too!

Look at his beautifulĀ necklace. The inspiration for this wedding was beach glass, so beautiful!

We had planned to do a first look, but time didn’t permit, so they saw each other on at the alter!

and a goofy one.. just for fun

Now it’s time for a few photos with just the happy couple!

They had both the ceremony and reception at the Parksville Beachfront Resort.. It was so beautiful, and the food was delicious.. I may or may not have had 2 plates..

don’t judge, you would have too

They had such an awesome candy bar! After the wedding, Dave insisted I make a big candy bag to give to Brian.. Thank you Dave, he loved it.. But now after every wedding he asks me where his candy bag is!

And now, time to put on our dancing shoes!

This little guy was so awesome!

Alisha and Dave were so smart planning their wedding on Canada day.. They had fireworks right outside the reception venue.. (and Dave will never forget their anniversary)

Thank you again for asking me to be part of such an amazing wedding,Ā honestly, it was such a pleasure!

What can I say about these three.. We love them! Laura is Brians cousin who came to visit from Salt Lake City. I was so excited when I heard that our visits were going to overlap, and was already planning their family photos.

Although Laura, Jordan, and I were super excited to get some photos done, Lucy wasn’t quite as impressed. She was hungry, and probably a little tired. We (Jordan) bribed her with ice cream, and we were able to get some great shots!

Thanks again Walker family for a fun afternoon (and the REI gift card you jerks.. we will get you back).

I love this picture!

And this one…

This is when the food bribing started

She is so stinkin’ cute! And, we always need picture of just mom and dad
